Christophe Tromas : Maclage ou kink bands? Apport des essais micro-mécaniques à l'étude des mécanismes de plasticité dans les phases MAX.

Christophe Tromas is full-professor at the University of Poitiers and conducts his research at the Pprime Institute. His work concerns the elementary mechanisms of plasticity, at the dislocation scale, which he studies experimentally, often through nanoindentation testing, near-field microscopy, and electron microscopy. In particular, he is interested in the plasticity of MAX phases and the role of twinning in these nanolamellar materials. Part of his research is also dedicated to mechanical properties mapping by nanoindentation and near-field microscopy in heterogeneous materials and thus to the link between mechanical properties and microstructure.
